KISANTE CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
It was established in the year 1947. It started with one building made of assorted materials temporarily built in the lot of Mr. Laman Ambat, a native resident. The principal then was Ceferino Ragsag with only seven teachers. Years later, the PTA building was constructed in the new site which was occupied by the Grade II and III pupils. The Grades I and IV were left in the old building. After several years they too transferred to the new site, but still the classrooms were deficient.
With the increase of enrolment, Mr. Ceferino Ragsag with the help of Mr. Cerilo Ebol, Sr. requested from the War Rehabilitation Program for a construction of Lominog school building. In 1951, five teachers were added giving a total of twelve (12) teachers. With the retirement of Mr. Ragsag, Mr. Democracy Icawalo was appointed as the new school head. In 1963, Mr. Honesto Cabacungan succeeded the latter and three more teachers were added. After a year, Mr. Cabacungan was succeeded by Mr. Flaviano Francisco. He was then followed by Mrs. Lena Lavilla.
Kisante Elementary School became a central school in 1984 when Makilala was divided into three districts and KCES became the seat of office of East Makilala District. Mr. Ranulfo B. Abenir was designated as Principal-in-Charge (PIC) and Mr. Francisco Sicam as Kisante Central Elementary School Principal. In 1992, Mr. Sicam retired from the service and Mr. Rodolfo M. Eslava succeeded him. In 1994, a new principal in the person of Mr. Jose A. Caparida, Jr. was added to the school. He was assigned to oversee Grades I-III. Mr. Jose A. Caparida, Jr. was designated as Principal-in-Charge of Makilala East District due to the tranfer of Mr. Ricardo S. Angelico, the District Supervisor, to Kidapawan City Division. Mr. Rodolfo M. Eslava was also designated as Assistant to the District Supervisor so, Mr. Renato A. Corre assumed as the new School Principal. In June 2003, Mr. Renato A. Corre was designated as PIC of Magpet East District, Cotabato Division. Dr. Natividad G. Ocon succeeded him as the new School Principal from 2003-2010. She was promoted as Education Program Supervisor of Cotabato Division leaving the seat of Principal to Mrs. Vibina R. Caparida.
With the implementation of the Third Elementary Education Project (TEEP), there has been a great change in the educational picture of Kisante Central Elementary School. The once unsupportive community has become closer to the school management and teachers. They have developed deep concern and involvement in the school activities. Many of the deficiencies experienced by the school in terms of physical and academic aspects have been addressed. Much of the seemingly perennial insufficiencies in all other factors of the school have been addressed. The effect may not be one hundred percent fulfillment but enough to alleviate the problem of low learning outcomes of the pupils. These are but some of the positive fruits of he project. At present, Kisante Central Elementary School has 13 school buildings , 24 regular teachers, and 2 DepEd Subsidized Kindergarten teachers under the tutelage of Mr. Genesis T. Delima.
